The Health Care emphasis area provides the opportunity to customize the program to meet student’s specific career goals. The Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration is available completely online for flexibility in learning style and can be completed in as little as 12 months.

Master of Management in Healthcare Administration

The Master of Management program curriculum is designed to develop the skills for effective management as well as organizational strategies and concepts to make a difference in today’s business environment. The Graduate program offers graduates an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills base in business and coursework focuses on management issues in human resources, marketing, information technology, finance and accounting, leadership, communication and international business. The fifty four-credit program consists of twelve courses for completion and graduates of the MM program will successfully:

  • Integrate management and organizational principles to make sound decisions and predict likely outcomes
  • Develop leadership through effective communication and use of technology to achieve organizational goals
  • Evaluate Corporate Social Responsibility in the global business environment
  • Demonstrate skills in team building and collaboration

Students that select the concentration in Healthcare Administration pursue the standard Master of Management curriculum with a three-course emphasis in health care administration by completing the following courses:

  • Fiscal and Regulatory Issues in Health Services
  • Global Issues in Healthcare
  • Healthcare Administration and Policy Seminar

Dual Degree – Master of Business Administration / Master of Management

The dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management (MM) simultaneously allows students an opportunity to enhance management career opportunities. Pursuing a dual MBA and MM degrees allows students to combine the knowledge and skills required in both areas of study without needing to put their careers on hold. NAU offers the convenience and flexibility of an online only format to allow students a balanced schedule. The MBA program provides students advancement of their knowledge base in the field of business and core courses include accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations management. Available elective for concentration include accounting, human resources, information systems, health care administration and management. The MM program combines coursework in finance, marketing, operations, business analytics, ethics, organizational behavior and leadership to prepare graduates advancement in careers in a complex marketplace.

For flexibility in learning style, The Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare, is offered through blended online format and in classroom instruction.
